DESCRIPTION:Date & Time: Wednesday\, March 4\, 2026 | 10:00 a.m.   11:30 a.m.\n\nLocation: Webinar via Zoom\n\nCost: $5\n\nThis program is funded by a generous grant from the Staunton Farm Foundation.\n\n\nWhat to Expect\n\n\nThis interactive training focuses on increasing participants' understanding of stress and how it affects mental\, emotional\, physical\, and behavioral well-being. Participants explore what stress is\, common stress responses\, and factors that contribute to stress in daily life\, including work demands\, life transitions\, and decision-making pressures. The training also examines how unmanaged stress can impact relationships\, workplace functioning\, and overall quality of life. Emphasis is placed on practical coping strategies\, stress-reduction techniques\, and the role of self-care in maintaining balance. Participants leave with realistic tools they can apply immediately to better manage stress and support personal and professional well-being.\n\n \n\n\nObjectives\n\n\n	Define stress and distinguish between positive (eustress) and negative (distress) forms of stress.\n	Identify common physical\, emotional\, mental\, and behavioral responses to stress\, including personal warning signs.\n	Recognize factors that make situations stressful\, including life transitions\, lack of control\, and perceived demands.\n	Examine the impact of stress on decision-making\, relationships\, and workplace functioning.\n	Apply practical coping strategies and stress-reduction techniques to better balance personal and professional responsibilities.\n	Understand the value of self-care and how it supports long-term health\, resilience\, and quality of life.\n\n\n\nFacilitator\n\nLisa Kennedy is a single parent of four adult children and a proud grandmother of four. She is a former foster parent and adoptive parent\, and currently serves as an elected School Board Director for the School District of the City of York. In addition\, she works as a Family Peer Support Specialist. For over 20 years\, Lisa has dedicated herself to supporting\, educating\, and advocating for children and families. She is passionate about learning and growing through the many opportunities she encounters while participating in workshops and trainings with others. Lisa has presented locally and across Pennsylvania on topics including education\, family support\, and mental health. She also serves on numerous local\, state\, and national committees and boards focused on these key areas.\n\n \n\n\nContinuing Education Units (CEUs)\n\n\n	Social Work: 1.5 CEUs Available (No Additional Cost)\n\n\nSocial Work: "NASW-PA Chapter is a co-sponsor of this workshop. 1.5 CEUs will be awarded for completion of this course.
