rabbittransit to Host Monthly Information Sessions in Hanover

York, PA – rabbittransit will launch a public education campaign in Hanover by hosting a series of monthly information sessions at local non-profit organizations beginning in January. The campaign follows a Community Planning Forum that took place in late October, focused on strategizing for the future of transportation in Hanover. One need that surfaced was
additional community outreach and education about how to ride the fixed route bus service.  
 
rabbittransit is in the midst of a Transit Development Plan (TDP) in coordination with the York County Planning Commission that will re-evaluate all fixed route bus service. The TDP process takes place every five years and assists rabbittransit in re-allocating resources from under-utilized routes or to better meet customer needs while balancing funding formulas.
