Summer at the Movies - Glory

GLORY tells the story of Robert Gould Shaw as he leads the U.S. Civil War's first all-black volunteer company (54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry), from its organization in the winter of 1863 to the climactic assault on July 18, 1863, of Fort Wagner. Starring: Mathew Broderick, Andre Braugher, Cary Elwes, Morgan Freeman, and Denzel Washington (who won an Oscar for his role). Historic perspective provided by Robert W. Malick, Associate Professor of History, HACC Hanover Film Club We meet once a month to watch independent, international, cult/classic, and documentary movies. There is no fee, no dues, no membership card. You are a member because you attend one of our screenings. Thanks to a Welcoming Communities grant from the Cultural Alliance of York County and Main Street Hanover (and in collaboration with R/C Hanover Movies 16), we are able to present four films. In addition, 20 FREE TICKETS will be distributed at 4 PM on the day of each show (limit one per person).
