Trash to Treasure

Trash to Treasure

Artists have turned trash ? old license plates, used lumber, junk metal ? into pieces of art for a month-long exhibit at Art Downtown, 32 Carlisle St., Hanover. Trash to Treasure: Re-Purposed Objects Become Art features work by 17 regional artists. Old vinyl records are now part of a collage; a cabinet door is an artist's canvas; and an Adirondack chair is a statement piece for a Gettysburg artists. The exhibit will be on display through Sept. 30. It can been seen during regular gallery hours.
The gallery is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. The gallery is always free.
