Polymer Concepts Technologies PBY, Inc. is looking to add a Manufacturing Assistant Controller to our Hanover, PA team doing business as Kaydon Ring and Seal ("KRS"). KRS is responsible for Aerospace and Industrial seal applications with a global responsibility for Sales, Manufacturing, Business development, Product and Process Development. KRS has a customer portfolio that includes all major players in the Aerospace industry. Our business is fully customer focused, with products specifically designed for a jet engine application, produced in small quantities and small lots on highly flexible equipment. Extreme product range fragmentation, complex product design, very high-quality standards and traceability requirements are the peculiarity of KRS.
The Manufacturing Factory Assistant Controller will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for Kaydon Ring & Seal operations. Assistant Controller is responsible for analyzing financial statements, supporting the month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with both internal policies and external regulations. Assistant Controller will collaborate with various departments to gather necessary data, provide financial insights, and support audits and reviews. The role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Job Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
Financial Duties
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reporting
Prepare Journal entries for month end closing
ICO accruals and cash settlement
Reconcile balance sheet accounts
Payroll and payroll accounting experience
AP/AR controls and review responsibility
1099 preparation Inventory
Assist with yearend inventory count and GL adjustments as required
Work with operation to clear any inventory issues
Banking
Approve ACH and wire activity
Reconcile monthly bank statements
Forecast/Budgets
Provide input in the preparation of forecasts and budgets as required
Analysis
Review financials P&L and Balance Sheet for appropriateness
Tax
Prepare sales tax for filings and payments
Assist with business tax filing
Tax research as required
Fixed Asset
Ensure fixed assets are appropriately recorded and depreciated
Prepare entries for depreciation
Maintain accurate registers that tie monthly to the financial statements Month end
Prepare JEs for Kaydon Ring & Seal operations
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field - REQUIRED
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in manufacturing environment - REQUIRED
Manufacturing Cost Accountant experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Business Central a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail - required
Must be legally authorized to work in the US; no sponsorship available
