BOROUGH OF HANOVER PARKS AND RECREATION HOSTS FOAM PARTY

Hanover, PA – As part of the Borough of Hanover 2025 Summer Playground Program, the Department of Parks and Recreation hosted a Foam Party on July 30, 2025. Over 200 children and parents attended the free event which was held at Moul Field in Hanover. Kids of all ages enjoyed playing in knee-high piles of foam.

 

The Summer Playground Program, which is under direction of the Borough’s Director of Parks, Recreation and Library Services Matt Purkins, included open morning playtime and crafts at four Hanover parks in conjunction with the Hanover Area YMCA. Additional programing included a motivational presentation from Spencer “Spinny” Johnson, former Harlem Globetrotter; a display of animals and cool creatures by Reptile Wonders; a Video Game Truck with the latest video games to try; weekly story time with Guthrie Memorial Children’s Librarian Kelly Horner; and Chalk and Play with Moriah Tyler, Director of Main Street Hanover.

 

Parks and Recreation programing for the fall of 2025 includes an inaugural golf tournament, beginner country line dancing, youth tennis lessons, and a holiday wreath making class. For information on these and other upcoming events, go to www.HanoverBoroughPA.gov.
